Since 1934 Istituto Secoli has been the international reference point for studying patternmaking. At Istituto Secoli’ goal is helping to realize the dreams of those who are passionate about fashion, helping them to design and create beautiful clothes. The academic courses are aimed primarily at under graduates or neo graduates who want to enter the world of fashion. The Three-year courses offer extensive training in all the steps in designing fashion collections, from concept to implementation. The Annual Courses focus on creating patterns and sewing garments. The participants are mainly young students, oriented towards a career in patternmaking or graduates from other schools/colleges/universities of Fashion and Design who want to deepen their technical training. The Master courses are aimed exclusively at Fashion Design graduates who wish to study all the technical steps of creating a collection. The courses are made up of multitude study modules, with varying weekly attendance (depending on the type of course) from 20 to 40 hours of compulsory attendance.
The Specialist Courses are aimed at those who work fulltime or who are professionals in the fashion industry. The proposals here are numerous, with a slightly more subject specific approach as regard to the academic courses, aiming to strengthen existing notions of participants. The courses in this section are designed (in terms of program structure, intensity and duration) to facilitate and enable the attendance of those who work fulltime or who are professionals in the fashion industry.
