During the last edition of TEDWomen (a conference about the power of women and girls to be creators and change-makers), on December 2021, one of the most exciting speeches was held by Gala Marija Vrbanic on the evolution of Digital Apparel.

Gala Marija Vrbanic, born in Croatia, is the founder of Tribute Brand, a high-end digital Fashion brand and Fashion tech-house developing various utilities for Digital Fashion launched in April 2020. They are known as one of the most prominent pioneers in the field and famous for their characteristic contactless and cyber aesthetics.

They are the first commercially successful digital fashion brand, paving the way for the Digital Fashion market. Their work has been published in most major press, and they regularly collaborate with and support the biggest names from the Industry, offering both design expertise and production and distribution services, including purpose-built AR tech, blockchain expertise and app development.

Marija Vrbanic’s work aims to decrease the demand (and, thereby, the production and usage) of physical clothes by encouraging people to transfer their identities onto the virtual realm. The impact? To improve Fashion’s impact on society, making it fairer, more accessible and sustainable.
