POLIMI School of Management has launched the Research Center “Sustainable Management in Fashion & Luxury Industries”, in memory of Professor Alessandro Brun. The Center brings together academia, industry leaders, and policymakers.

Purpose of the New Center

Its objective is to redesign fashion supply chains in terms of inclusivity, transparency, innovation, and human-centeredness.

How? By producing interdisciplinary research of international standing, translating knowledge into managerial education and high-impact policies, developing operational tools for companies and institutions, and leading the global debate on sustainable and innovative supply chains.

The Launch Event

The launch event brought together leading academics, industry professionals, and executives from global luxury brands, including Kering, Prada Group, and Armani Group, who contributed through dedicated presentations and roundtable discussions.

The ambition of the Research Center is to create a platform capable of redefining fashion and luxury supply chains as sustainable and inclusive systems, able to promote responsible production and service models focused on decarbonization, circularity, and traceability.

The initiative stems from the awareness that realities such as Made in Italy, positioned at the intersection of cultural heritage, advanced manufacturing, and global networks, embody excellence, craftsmanship, and social value, while today they are also called upon to play a leading role in terms of ethics and a people-centered approach.
