The 11th annual public conference of the Textile European Technology Platform will take place on 13-14 April 2016 in Brussels, at the Committee of the Regions. The focus of this year’s event will be on regional textile innovation and, as usual, the event will bring together regional policy makers from Europe’s foremost textile regions as well as companies, clusters, industry associations, technology, research, education and training organisations which sustain the regional textile innovation machine. Presentations of many success stories and best practices will underpin the importance of the regional dimension to the sustainance of textile and clothing industry growth and jobs in Europe.
The conference will be the first public showcase of Textile ETP’s newly launched Cross-regional Textile Innovation Initiative, in order to strengthen regional textile innovation capacities across Europe by better deployment of Smart Specialisation funds and by more cross-regional collaboration and peer-to-peer learning.
