CONSISTENT WITH THE CLIENT’S NEEDS
A specialist of design and building of machines and systems to open and mix fibres, Officine Gorgeri has successfully proven itself on the domestic and international market thanks to its reliable technology and ability – through their research work – to find a solution to even very difficult issues
Officine Gorgeri base their experience on a family tradition that goes back to 1953, when Aldo Gorgeri established its first business in the textile machinery industry.
Grown hand in hand with the development of the Prato area district, from the beginning Aldo Gorgeri worked to develop machines for the traditional carded web of that area; later on, they specialized in building machines and systems to prepare and mix fibres.
In 1994, Aldo Gorgeri together with his sons established the company Officine Gorgeri Srl, and developed innovative machines and systems in close cooperation both with the local, the domestic and international Textile Industry.
«We manufacture bale breakers, machines that clean and size fibres [sizing is the addition of chemicals to help further processing of fibres], mix the different components » owner Riccardo Gorgeri explains. We also make customized machines in cooperation with several Italian and foreign, mostly German, French and Belgian machine manufacturers.
A DIVERSIFIED TECHNOLOGY OFFER
Officine Gorgeri offer a wide range of technologies that they can adjust to meet the client’s needs in terms of processing and of materials to be processed. Just to give an example, various bale breakers are suitable for all kinds of systems to prepare blends, and are available in different width.
Blending openers for fine opening of fibres can open all kinds of fibres from synthetic to natural ones; the range includes a machine for initial fibre opening for all kinds of fibres and a carding opener for a bi-component fibre. Fibre oiling systems include a unit specially made for fibres requiring a high degree of sizing and another unit, enclosed in a stainless steel pipe, for fibres requiring a low degree of sizing.
The company also offers machines to beat, open, clean and blend textile fibres.
The automatic box is a machine equipped with a fixed milling unit to stock and blend fibres, manufactured in different sizes and available in two versions: an automatic box and an automatic box with mobile back wall.
Mixture preparation systems include those to open, clean, blend, wet and store small and large lots; some other machines make felt pads, process natural fibres and make non-woven fabrics. They include bale breakers, beating machines, openers, wetting systems, blending sections with mobile milling machines, automatic boxes.
The machine that continuously recycles selvages, mainly applied in machines to manufacture non-woven fabric, is available in different models to suit the working width and the fibre being processed; the range includes a model equipped with carding cylinders that ensure a deep opening of synthetic fibres.
The mobile milling machine FM-89E has been developed to implement a high degree of automation in order to empty one or several blending sections of the same size. STA-99 switching station can concentrate the switches of air-operated fibre transport, obtaining good advantages in terms of costs, environment protection, clean operation and space occupied compared to traditional switches.
Besides offering a wide range of models to feed any kind of machine or lines, Officine Gorgeri manufacture blend dosing and blend preparation systems.
ON-GOING RESEARCH OF NEW SOLUTIONS
80% of clients at Officine Gorgeri work in the geo-textile Industry and make lightweight and heavy non-woven fabrics applied to separate, filter, reinforce, protect and drain the target object. «For this Industry – Mr. Gorgeri explains – we developed a range of machines that can process very different materials: from wood to coconut fibres. We recently experienced the demand of vegetable fibres to make, e.g. insulation panels; however, in the geo-textile sector they also recover number of recycled products; consequently we have to fine-tune our machines so as to be able to meet this demand. A continuously evolving market requires on-going research, a task that covers 15-20% of our business, carried out in-house with our staff. In some instances we rely on consultants, based upon the kind of issue and the solution we are aiming to ».
In the last few years, Officine Gorgeri has intensified its investment in design and continuous modernisation of the machine tools fleet, so as to be able to offer reliable and durable products that meet the demand of the clients.
