Vitale Barberis Canonico presented its first sustainability report

1990

During the last Milano Unica edition, the historic luxury fabrics producer Vitale Barberis Canonico, based in Biella textile cluster, presented its first sustainability report (linkare a pdf “Vitale Barberis Canonico”).

Environmental and social issues are not new to the company, although they were never formalized in a document. Thus the need arose, during 2018, to communicate and enhance the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that have become operational practices in Vitale Barberis Canonico, moving “from deeds to words” with a non-financial report that takes shape in this first Sustainability Report.

This document describes the initiatives and main results in the economic, social and environmental field; it aims to illustrate the sustainability strategies of Vitale Barberis Canonico and the related performances concerning the production facilities of Pratrivero and Pray, both in the Biella area.

Accompanying the founding values of ethics, morals and transparency, the document aims to address in detail the enhancement of the professionalism and of all the people who work in the Company, safety and health in the workplace and environmental protection, together with respect for the territory in which the Company operates.
