From 22 to 23 September, Peruvian designers and companies specialising in alpaca, Pima cotton and home decor will arrive in Milan thanks to the Perú Moda Deco Trade Mission.
During Fashion Week, exclusive events combining design, comfort and traceability will be held at the Hotel Meliá Milano (22 September, 11:00-17:00) and the Guffanti Concept Showroom.
The initiative aims to promote the Andean textile tradition reinterpreted in a contemporary key, as a protagonist of sustainable fashion and creative excellence.
Raw materials, craftsmanship and European standards
Peru’s presence in Milan highlights the strength of an industry capable of combining excellent raw materials with responsible processes and innovative creativity.
Alpaca, prized for its softness, warmth and durability, is in tune with the Italian fashion industry, bringing uniqueness and sustainability to a market that seeks quality and authenticity.
Alongside it, Pima cotton, one of the finest fibres in the world, enriches the offering with lightness, resistance and contemporary elegance.
Ancient craft techniques, hand-woven fabrics and natural dyes intertwine with global trends and European standards of responsible consumption, giving rise to sustainable, authentic collections with an international flavour.
Among the protagonists of this mission are designers and established companies, promoting the potential of Peruvian fibres through traceable, sustainable and high-quality collections.
The initiative is promoted and supported by PROMPERÚ – Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism, an institution committed to promoting the country’s manufacturing and craftsmanship excellence, encouraging Peruvian companies to enter the world’s most competitive markets.
