CISMA – Chinese International Sewing Machinery & Accessories Show, held from Sept 25-28 at Shanghai New International EXPO Center, for Gerber Technology provided key platform to showcase their fully integrated end-to-end ecosystem to decision makers from Asia Pacific region and beyond.
Trends are changing at a rapid rate and consumers expect brands to deliver new products to the market almost instantly. Effectively delivering on these challenging expectations is nearly impossible without a workflow that enables short development times while providing the flexibility required to produce on-demand. Gerber’s connected ecosystem empowers brands, retailers, and manufacturers to deliver on these challenging consumer demands.
«Tariffs are greatly affecting the global economy right now, making it costly to deliver quality products in a timely fashion» said Edward Wang, Vice President & General Manager APAC, Gerber Technology in front of the press. «In China, margins and lead times have become a large problem, which is why we are incredibly proud to be able to offer an integrated platform that can help Chinese brands and manufacturers quickly go from design to development during this challenging period».
Trending Now: strategy to improve the customer journey
After Gerber had already presented its ambitious Trending Now strategy at the Texprocess tradeshows in Frankfurt/Main and Atlanta, the company at Shanghai showcased on how to empower their global customer base (78.000 users to date in various market segments) with their transformative End-to-End platform: the integrated process seamlessly passes data from design to development to the cutting room, enabling mass, on-demand and made-to-measure product creation and production while ensuring speed, quality, profitability, sustainability, and efficiency.
Featuring latest development for CAD 2D and 3D, PLM and Industry 4.0-enabled Smart Machines, through a broad number of demonstrations and virtual reality experiences visitors to the Gerber stand experienced a large number of trend-setting innovations. Among them:
- YuniquePLM – Product Lifecycle Management software allowing for easy management of the entire process;
- the brand new version of AccuMark® 12.2, Gerber’s pattern design, grading, marker making, and production planning software;
- AccuMark 3D, which enables Fashion brands to truly unleash their creativity and alleviate fit issues while greatly reducing the number of physical samples needed;
- AccuNest™, automated nesting solution, which greatly improves material utilization;
- AccuPlan™, the powerful cut-planning software that helps optimize the cutting process so that you can cut with confidence;
- integration with key partners such as Adobe for design or Kornit and Mimaki for Digital Printing.
Gerber Technology’s connected platform indeed takes products from design to production in a fraction of the time a manual or digitally disconnected process would take.
