The history of Macpi – a company based in Palazzolo sull’Oglio, founded in 1961 and now run by the third generation of the Cartabbia family – reflects a diversification of production across various segments of the garment manufacturing chain, while consistently upholding values such as quality research, adaptation to customer needs, and ongoing support.
Technologies at SAMAB
At SAMAB, Macpi is showcasing a symbolic model from each of its product categories: an ironing table, a fusing machine, a solution for pressing jackets, shirts, and trousers, and two examples of garment heat sealing machines. In this last category, the company also offers consulting and design services for custom-shaped forms to enable fast bonding and assembling, delivering high-quality results.
«These are updated and improved versions, or models that have undergone a redesign» explains Eleonora Cartabbia, Marketing Manager at Macpi. «The shirt ironing machine features a new version of the mannequin; the fusing machine is shown in a version that combines steam and electric power to reduce energy consumption and can be adapted to the customer’s existing systems. Even the ironing table has some interesting improvements».
Catalog and Customer Service
Macpi’s offering includes hundreds of patented, specialized machines. The company provides both catalog solutions and tailor-made options, guiding clients toward the best fit for their needs. The team – made up of young professionals and experienced technicians – supports every stage from installation to after-sales service, offering dedicated training and ensuring prompt maintenance interventions (even on machines over 20 years old).
Thanks to a newly implemented ticket management platform, Macpi can now offer clients fast and direct support from in-house personnel.
Milestones and Goals
«We support SAMAB because, as Italians, we believe in its value as an Italian trade fair» concludes Cartabbia. «It will be an opportunity to meet European customers, listen to their needs, and understand how to meet them».
Last year, Macpi earned the SA8000 certification for corporate social responsibility and the Gender Equality Certification. Moreover, it reduced energy consumption by over 30% through the installation of a new photovoltaic system, LED relamping, and boiler replacement. These improvements are paving the way for the company to obtain ISO 50001 certification for energy efficiency in the coming months.
