Fabiana Filippi is not just a name for knitwear but also a brand of jackets, overcoats, skirts, trousers, footwear and bags. A total look for women, created in the Umbria region with commitment and passion by two brothers, Mario and Giacomo Filippi Coccetta; they developed a potential to open up to the world through wholesale and retail channels and e-commerce as well.

Their product, developed in the in-house style and design department, takes advantage of local skilled workers from the concept to the final distribution, in order to offer a Made in Italy handcrafted quality.

Fabiana Filippi collections are conceived and manufactured in Umbria, a place rich with tradition and culture. «The Fabiana Filippi brand offers two lines – the manager adds, the Fabiana Filippi White Label range and the Fabiana Filippi Black Label range. Both collections are inspired with knitwear though being total look ranges. Fabiana Filippi White Label is designed for the medium-top end market. Made for everyday use, it aims at enhancing the refinement and femininity of women in everyday life, with garments made to highlight their personality without overriding it. Fabiana Filippi Black Label is designed for the top market. Also conceived for everyday use, however for special occasions too. Its extremely refined, sophisticated look addresses women who are fond of noble fibres like cashmere and silk, looking for almost unique garments. Our branded garments are conceived in our own design department, which is, in our opinion, a very important advantage. In fact, we can exchange information with the manufacturing division and with our knitters and tailors, so as to be able to improve a garment in real time while keeping all details and doing the cost analysis in house».

«Research is a basic step, aimed at selecting raw materials and shades to become the leit motiv of the collection, while bearing in mind the rules of our brand and combining them with the season’s trend. Fabiana’s collections follow two paths: a knitwear and a tailor-made way. Fabrics are woven on modern, high-tech machines, mainly Japanese textile machines. Cloths are linked by hand; this process demands a great accuracy with a slight impact of technology, hence being still carried out by hand. The tailoring begins with CAD pattern making, a highly qualified technique to optimize the creative process; the assembly of the garment is carried out by hand. Fabiana Filippi’s items are made by professional and top craftsmen from the area, resulting in a perfect match of quality and style of our products. In fact, in Umbria, manufacturing has always been very important; after the Second World War manufacturing was a major productive structure second to agriculture, and saw many women working from home. Over the years, areas of specialisation were developed and some brands, as it is the case with ours, re-invented it in a modern key. Of course, Made in Italy is not just a label. You need a brand to state its features. For us a quality product is closely linked to an accurate and continuous check of every manufacturing stage: from design through selection of raw materials like yarns and fabrics, to manufacturing and marketing. This is only possible if every stage is carried out and checked in house, as it is the case in our company».

«Fabiana Filippi’s brand – the owner adds concluding – sells in more than 30 countries worldwide and its message goes to the major fashion places, among which Milan, Paris, New York, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Moscow. Fabiana Filippi’s products are mostly sold at wholesale prices, while a retail project started at our flagship stores in Italy and in Europe. Since 2016, Fabiana Filippi has been selling online too from its e-commerce Website. We conceived this recent project as a multichannel extension of marketing and communication of our products all over the world. Within the strategy of an international luxury brand we have to be available both at wholesale, retail and online as well; in fact, one can start buying online to later go to a point of sale or vice versa. In our plan this platform will offer our clients an accurate service in line with the values of our brand, while being accessible anywhere anytime.
