Over the past year there has been an intense ongoing debate, as well as growing concern, within the textile dyes and chemicals supply chain about the overarching system of new standards, increased supply chain complexity and the increased efforts required in the environmental management of textile chemistry.

The topic will be object of collective discussion and presentations during the 3rd Textile Colourant and Chemical Leaders Forum, taking place at ITMA 2019 on June 23. Launched at ITMA 2011, the forum is an industry initiative drawing lively participation from dyestuff, colour and chemical professionals worldwide. Themed ‘Meeting Resource Challenges in the Circular Economy’, this year’s forum will explore how circular economy and sustainability strategies will drive future industry success. Specifically, the contribution of the textile chemicals and innovative and cleaner technologies to the creation of a more sustainable future for the textile and garment industry will be under the spotlight.

In addition to the forums, the ITMA Innovation Lab featuring a Speakers Platform, will provide an additional stage for ITMA exhibitors to join the discussion. The Platform will be complemented by a video showcase highlighting some of the innovative exhibits at ITMA 2019.
