KlopmanKlopman International, among Europe’s leading brands in workwear, protectivewear and corporatewear sectors, launches a new range of products made with recycled polyester, Faitrade cotton and/or organic cotton, targeting garment manufacturers and encouraging them towards a sustainable business model.

The company produces blended fabrics in 65% polyester and 35% cotton, started in 1968 thanks to Bill Klopman’s intuition. «Today, the basic yarn utilized for the making up of workwear garments can be replaced by similar materials aimed to reduce the environmental footprint, conservation of resources and to support developing countries», the company writes in the press release focused on the new range of workwear. Recycled polyester is in fact made from PET plastic bottles: the challenge faced – and won – by Klopman was to develop a sustainable product capable to maintain the features and the fabric standards in terms of comfort and durability. A conscious choice has been made also in the selection of organic cotton, grown with methods and products that have a low impact on the environment (organic soil fertilizers instead of chemical ones, elimination of pesticides, etc.) or Fairtrade cotton, committed to a sustainable livelihood for cotton producers and giving support to the local communities.
